The family of a teenager killed in police firing in 2010 urged the Jammu and Kashmir government to bring those responsible for the act to the book as that would send a positive signal to the people of the state. "We feel that an opportunity lies (with) the government to (do) justice that would send a positive signal to the people of the state that the government means business," Mohammad Ashraf Mattoo, father of slain teenager Tufail, told reporters at his residence.
Hundreds others were wounded many of whom received bullet and pellet injuries and are undergoing treatment in various hospitals.
